Set in the year 2000 in the fictional town of Anjanipur, Kamthaan follows a chaotic sequence of events after a robbery takes place in a newly promoted police officer’s home. The police try to recover the stolen item while the thieves try to hide it, resulting in pure chaos.

Directed by Dhrunad Kamle and produced by Abhishek Shah, this film is adapted from a novella by Ashwini Bhatt. The story is set in the Charotar region and was shot in Vaso, near Nadiad.
Mehul Surti composed the soundtrack using local instruments. Actor Maulik Nayak debuted as a singer. Songs like "Parsang" are used in the background for traditional engagement scenes.
The film was released on 2 February 2024 in theaters across Gujarat.
